Fircrest is known for its dense stands of Douglas firs and mature trees lining nearly every street, and those roots are always in search of moisture. Underground sewer lines, particularly older clay and cast iron pipes running beneath Fircrest's tree-lined streets, are prime targ ...Show More

The median construction year for homes in Fircrest is 1965, and a significant portion of the city's housing was built well before that. Many of these homes still have the original galvanized steel supply lines, which corrode from the inside out over decades of use. The narrowing ...Show More

Fircrest is a small, tree-lined city in Pierce County, Washington, tucked between Tacoma to the north and east and University Place to the west and south. Covering just 1.6 square miles, the city was home to 7,156 residents at the 2020 census and has built a reputation as one of the most livable neighborhoods in the South Sound. It was developed in 1907 as Regents Park and officially incorporated as the Town of Fircrest on September 19, 1925, with streets deliberately named after universities like Harvard, Princeton, Dartmouth, and Yale to reflect the community’s founding vision of educated, residential living.
Edward Bowes (1874-1946): The real estate developer who created Fircrest in 1907 went on to become one of America’s most famous radio personalities. His Original Amateur Hour launched in 1934 and moved to NBC in 1935, running until his death in 1946, and launched the careers of artists including Frank Sinatra while setting the template for every talent competition show that followed.

Most homes in Fircrest were built between the 1930s and 1970s, and many still have original galvanized steel, cast iron, or clay piping. These materials corrode and deteriorate over time, leading to low water pressure, discolored water, and recurring leaks.
The two most common causes are tree root intrusion and pipe sagging. Fircrest's mature trees send roots into cracked sewer pipes, and heavy rainfall erodes the soil supporting underground lines, causing them to sag and collect waste.
Warning signs include slow drains throughout the house, gurgling sounds, sewage odors in your yard, soggy lawn patches, and backups in sinks or toilets. A sewer camera inspection can pinpoint the exact problem without digging.
It's a way to repair a damaged sewer pipe from the inside without excavating your yard. A resin-coated liner is inserted into the existing pipe and hardens to form a new pipe within the old one. It's faster and less disruptive than traditional replacement.
We install traditional tank, tankless, and heat pump water heaters. Our team helps you choose the right system based on your home's size, hot water usage, and budget.
Look for inconsistent temperature, rusty hot water, popping or rumbling sounds, and leaks around the base. Most tank water heaters last 8 to 12 years.
We handle drain cleaning, water heater installation and repair, sewer inspections, sewer lining and replacement, leak detection, pipe repair and replacement, fixture installation, and general plumbing maintenance for residential and commercial properties.
